The file conversion of original CAD data into the STL data format requires in-depth knowledge of the 3D printing technology to be used and the necessary interface settings (chord or angle tolerance, triangulation size, binary or ASCII, …). Production aids such as jigs/fixtures and mechanical reworking of the components can in many cases also make CAD data necessary.
Often, it is not the 3D printing technologies, but rather poorly resolved STL data, that is responsible for unsatisfactory prototyping results.
We therefore ask you to send only STEP or PARASOLID data. We will perform an optimal STL file conversion – adapted to your data and the intended 3D printing technology – in order to fully exploit all possibilities within the respective process.
